Ed Hartwell, 38, husband of Keisha Knight Pulliam, 37 has filed for divorce after just 7 months of marriage, sparking paternity rumours.
Just a week after it was announced that the couple were expecting their first child, Hartwell has filed a petition to end the marriage and demanded a paternity test.
Keisha is best known for her childhood role of Rudy Huxtable in the NBC sitcom The Cosby Show from 1984-1992.
Ed and Keisha may have had the shortest engagement in history, with Ed allegedly proposing on New Years Eve last year and the couple then marrying the next day on 1 January 2016.
The whirlwind lovers were only dating for a few months before tying the knot, but met years prior when Ed (full name Edgerton Hartwell) was married to his then wife, Housewives of Atlanta Lisa Wu, 43.
Keisha was reportedly dating television and radio personality Big Tigger before she confused fans by posting a photo last year of her kissing a disguised Ed, as her new mystery man.
The former NFL players ex-wife publically responded to the news saying she was surprised Ed married Keisha considering their "history", implying that they were all previously friends.
Although Keisha clapped back;
" Lisa Wu and I have never, will never, be friends. I have no ill will for her, I don’t know her like that it was never a situation of stealing anyone’s husband. They were divorced many years before we even started dating and yes we live in Atlanta, it’s a small town. Have I run into her? Have I taken a picture with her? Absolutely, but I take pictures with people every day. And if you were categorized as friends with everyone you took a picture with, would that be accurate?..."
Ed says the increasing pressure he felt to have a baby with Keisha caused much of his unhappiness in the marriage.
"She wanted a baby really fast, and what I was trying to explain to her was that - from my beliefs, from seeing other successful people - that when you first get married, especially since we didn't have a long courtship, that we should actually focus on each other and not just have a baby."
Hartwell claims that he had moved out of the marital home and was therefore surprised to learn of Pulliam's pregnancy.
An alleged close source to the former linebacker stated that whilst Ed doesn't have any proof that Keisha has cheated, the dates didn't seem to add up.
An emotional Keisha broke down in an interview last week when she was asked to respond to Ed's paternity accusations.
She said she was blindsided by him filing for divorce and said, "I have never cheated on him during my marriage."
She stated that proving the paternity of her unborn daughter was "not an issue" and accused her estranged husband of being the one that had been unfaithful, claiming she stayed with him after he begged her for a second chance.
In a SKYPE interview last week Ed refuted claims that he had cheated on his wife.
He said with regards to wanting a paternity test;
"As time kept going past and the days went past, some things just weren’t adding up. So for me it’s not me saying she’s a bad person".
