Bobbi Kristina, only child of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, has died.
The 22 year old, was found unresponsive in a bath tub on 31 January, she was placed in a medically induced coma but never regained consciousness. She died yesterday.
Bobbi's death was announced by family representative Kristen Foster, "Bobbi Kristina passed away surrounded by her family. She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."
A month ago Bobbi was taken off of life support and moved to a hospice in Atlanta as Doctors prepared the family for her 'expected death'. She died at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Georgia.
Bobbi's mother, Pop singer and Grammy award-winner, Whitney Houston died three years ago aged 48. Houston was found face down in a hotel bath tub, hours before she was due to attend an awards ceremony.
Speaking at the time of her mother's death, aged 18, Bobbi said, " She wasn't only a mother, she was a best friend".
Foster brother and boyfriend Nick Gordon found Bobbi unconscious in the bath and allegedly attempted to revive her with the assistance of a friend.
Best friend of Bobbi, Alex Reid has accused Gordon of physically abusing Bobbi following her mother's death in 2012.
She told E! news that she saw first hand the marks that Gordon left on Brown’s body after arguments. “She would Facetime me whenever she was distraught. When something had just happened or show me a bruise,” she said...“He was known to choke her, definitely. Throw her into walls. Punch her in the jaw. Just like unbelievable stuff.”
Nick Gordon was banned from visiting Bobbi in the hospital by the Brown and Houston families. He denies the allegations made against him.
In the wake of Bobbi's death, the family posted a photo of Bobbi Kristina as a baby in her mother's arms on whitneyhouston.com with the message;
"It is hard to say goodbye. On Sunday, July 26, Bobbi Kristina Brown made her transition peacefully. The family thanks everyone for their loving thoughts and prayers. As Bobbi Kristina would say: 'The wind is behind me and the sun is in my face.'"
